happy valentine's day, world!!
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that HE loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)
I used to be a -big- fan of valentine's day. I used to push someone to make a 'surprising' gift for me [even though [we]I've already known the role, yes..that chocolate, that roses and that dinner, we must -still pretend to be- surprised!]
Even though, lately I realized it seems like the aims to be just another day to advertise commercialism and bless our eagerness to consume.
I -still- pushed somebody to fulfill me that 'surprising' gift.
But now on, I think wider about love, when the priest sent the message of 1 John 4:10.
There is absolutely nothing wrong in saying I love you, don't you think so?
It's really happen to me when I found me-myself alone in this small country. I started to learn 'saying I love you' in different way, such as waiting for people who run after the lift before I pushed 'door closed' button.
In another day, I said I love you with helping TKI who lost in the middle of nowhere, giving explanation with patiently where the direction was or how to fill in the application form or showed the office they should go.
by giving my seat to elderly or pregnant lady in MRT.
and
just now, I opened the metal gate to my flat by using my thumb-print detector, I opened the wider than usual because I saw a father with his little angel in the stroller so they could easily enter the gate.
suddenly his little angel said "thank you auntie.."
spontaneously I replied, "you're welcome, honey.."
and it continued with
"what level sir?"
"nine"
the little angel started to count
"one...." her eyes stared at me with pointing one finger, asked me to repeat after her
"one"
"t[r]wo"
"two"
"t[e]hree"
....
....
"nine"
"nine, we are at level 9 now.."
"bye, auntie, see u tomorrow"
"bye..."
hey....even that little angel said I love you to me, replied my 'I love you' to both of them. she is bright my night, yah..my- another-sleepless- night.
see, it's very common and easy...
so, my dear friends, happy valentine's day.
lets search and find how Jesus Christ always make each and everyday in your life became Valentine's day.
